Week 1 - What is School Apologetics?

What is School Apologetics?

You might be wondering, “What is School Apologetics?”
School Apologetics is an organization dedicated to teaching students various ways to confidently share and defend their faith both while at school and anywhere else God has placed them.
What does apologetics mean?
The word apologetics comes from the Greek word apologia, which means, “a defense of one’s beliefs.” Our goal is to help students understand what they believe and why, giving them the tools they need to confidently explain the hope that is within them (as 1 Peter 3:15 instructs).
While using School Apologetics, students will go through short lessons, engage in discussion, and learn the unfailing truth of the Bible.  This will be their primary and ultimate resource, but will also be supplemented by insights from trustworthy resources like Worldview Academy and other Christian teachings.
In the end, we exist to encourage students to share the hope of Christ that is within them and to glorify God throughout all of it.

Questions:

What is the good news?  Should we share it with everyone?

Why should we share the hope that is within us with other people?  Where does that hope come from?

Will Christianity always make us feel comfortable?

Why should we read your Bible?

What are some ways you personally can prepare yourself for School Apologetics?
