Week 9 - Live Like You're Free
Live Like You're Free
This week’s focus is on understanding that Jesus paid it all for us — our sins, our shame, and our guilt — so we can live in the freedom and joy of His grace.
Romans 8:31-39 reminds us that nothing can separate us from God’s love, and Colossians 2:13 assures us that all our trespasses are forgiven. Too often, Christians act as if Jesus only paid for some of our sin, trying to earn God’s approval because of the shame and guilt they hold onto. Like adopted children who can’t earn their parent’s love, we cannot earn God’s grace; it is freely given, and given with joy.
Our response is to live in that freedom, offering ourselves to God as an act of devotion, love, and gratitude, not as an act of trying to earn the love He freely gives. Embrace joy, live boldly, and proclaim that Jesus truly paid it all.
